Parked for winter

We know the feeling. I drive a fiat abarth 500 and it has A 1.4 liter engine. Sometimes I really Have to ask myself why are we throwing a leg over a motorcycle which has more motor than the car? The answer is simple IT IS FUN.

Yea but did your lawn mower have about 170 horse at 180 toque. The car really rips pretty good.

Here is the R3 and it's new bedfellows. Amusingly, with the stock engines, the R3 has 175CC more displacement then the other two put together!

Ooh mummy! What are you planning to do to the engine and suspension? When I was a young whipper-snapper in England I used to rally prep Minis and I still love them to this day. I wish I had the space (and money) to own and breath on one, now.

Regards,
Mark

It looks like we are done here in Anchorage as well...we have about 3 inches of snow and ice on the ground and a lot of slick roads...my last ride of 2015 was October 29th and I had the beast out on March 7th...considering our location on the globe I cant complain too loudly with 8 months of riding. In a few years I hope to have another motorcycle in the southern United States for winter time excursions. -Doug

I recently pulled out my leathers and put away my textile/mesh wear. Been researching lower altitude local loops to ride from my new high desert crib. Coastal canyons are 90mi of slab west of me. It's a first year for me living here at 3500ft > sea level, 12 miles from the north-east face of 8000ft high mountain ridge. Should be an interesting change from "down below" as the locals say.

The saloon is getting a new clutch and springs, the van is a full restoration. Will be putting in a 1380 with cross flow head. Go from the original 35 hp to about 140.

Freak weather in Toronto this morning, its going to be 20c today by midday... I've not remembered commuting in November, EVER! This is truly a gift...
