How did we (mature) riders bikes ever survive when the choice of oils was limited and monograde mineral oil was mostly all you could get ,I know the tolerances on modern machines are closer and require better oil but we managed.
Pete ,I take your advice on board about Spark plug wear, I use and have used Nulon lead replacement valve saver fluid in all my petrol and LPG powered vehicles and have stripped down a big block Ford (460ci) engine recently that had run on using Nulon VS and after 185000k the carbon on the valves and combustion chambers was only minimal and the spark plugs could be used again if I had choose to do so ,looking inside my rocket Engine using a small inspection camera and with 38000k on the clock the NulonVS is doing a good job it was as clean as a whistle, the extra zinc in the racing oil should protect the bearings and drive line well.

Ken penrite make this the only dif from 10 tenths racing 15 POA ester is it has 1800 pp zinc rather than 2200pp and slightly more $ but zinc level over 1800 pp can cause spark plugs to wear quicker

Twas no rain in Colorado last year!!!
You obviously didn't travel the million dollar hwy with Scott and I last year!!! It was so cold and wet going over the top and we weren't dressed for it. Scott bought a sweater in Silverton. It warmed up as we went back down the mountaion and by the time we got to Montrose we had dried out.

yes that was one cold wet ride for sure. Bull is lucky he was not in Kansas with use when we went thru that super cell storm

Oil conversations are always entertaining. Assuming that the proper classification of oil has been used and proper change intervals observed, has anyone ever heard of an oil related failure in a Rocket 3?
