I also found a small oil weep from the area from where the side stand bolts to the crank case,the leak was above the sump joint and there was no wet oil above the side stand bracket ,(around the area where the allen key is in the bolt head) any ideas cheers again

If it were me - I'd spray all the area with engine cleaner and wash it off - then keep an eye on it.
