Long delayed follow-up to this thread. The dealer had the bike for 7 weeks. They had to completely disassemble the engine to address the problem. I got it home and put 200 miles on it. Then one day I went into the garage and found oil on the ground and on the bike, again. This is not my first bike. It was my 20th. It was also my 4th Triumph. I know when I have a lemon and I was unwilling to take it back to the dealer (3 hour round trip) and wait weeks ago. I did not have confidence in the bike. So I traded it (even) for a 2025 Harley Fat Boy. It’s my 9th Harley and the best of the bunch. Very happy with the Fat Boy. I’m still a fan of Triumph and I still have my Speedmaster, which I ride almost every day, but the R3 had to find another home.
