oil drain plugs

I've got a 2004 rocket 111 is there any pictures of the position of the 3 oil drain plugs,cheers.

Bike not here at min but, there's 2 at the frount end of the sump plate (frount middle) & 1 near the middle at the back end. You'll get about 5L draining out ( unless it's been over filled :lol

Did you get an owner's manual with the bike? If so, its in there. Also, check Marcus' (Bishop) tag line. He has a full service manual you can download. Everything you need and more in there.

Some of the earlier manuals where wrong on the position of the drain plugs. But there are just 2 on the Rocket III.

Um, no there are 3. Front sump drain plug, rear sump drain plug and oil tank drain plug.

'04s (early '05 model year) have 3 drain plugs in the sump, plus the oil tank. I'm thinkin' Triumph did a running change during the late '05/early '06 model runs, along with gauge faces, gauge mounts, kick stand tang, etc. I remember some of us here were speculating the new pan was a response to output bearing failure...

Interesting. The Service Manual shows two configurations, but both with three plugs. First is for Engine Numbers up to 217501 and the other for those from 217502.
