O2 Sensor Delete

Hi All! After a lot of thought and research I have decided to build my own custom exhaust for my 2005 Rocket. Being that I am installing a set of rear sets, I didn't want to have to work around an exhaust pipe arrangement. I am going to fabricate headers that go forward and around and down 180 degrees and return under the side of the engine. My question is: do I need to have an O2 sensor somewhere or can I delete it?

I believe it can be deleted using TuneECU . It sounds like you will need a different tune loading with a custom exhaust.
