O2 Eliminator Install

Stock Classic with the fur ball tossed

It is the 2005_3Decel tune which I copied the fuel and ignition tables from Wayne's 2005_3 tune into the new Triumph release tune and added 10% - 15% fuel to the L tables.

Please expound upon the 2005_3 Tune and the "new Triumph release tune. Specifically, where can THESE be found. Is this the 20050_3 tune, found on the TuneBoy site, plus some new Triumph release to be found, where? I'm soon to be screwing around with my ECM and I sure don't look forward to complications.

I'm specfically wanting a tune to maximize performance of a stocker Classic with ONLY the gutless CAT ripped out. No special silencer, no fancy headers, no breather upgrades. Of course the corrections for speedo and rev limitation would be inline with maximizing performance. Both of these aspects in my discovery efforts of the TuneBoy docs are given bare fleeting mention. Tune Constants reads: (see below); when actually, nothing to effect the Speedo correction is prescribed. Precisely what is necessary to accomplish these tasks appears hidden from my cyclops view. I know there's a question or two in there as well:D

Pig9r, I, and I'm sure everyone else, greatly appreciate and give thanks for you dedication.:bch:

Open vs Closed Loop

I'd like to see the applicable tables associated with the base and modified tunes? The closed loop condition discussed in the TuneBoy docs and the inclination toward enrichment, in the modified tune(s), has me quite curious. Specifically, what are the departures from the 14.x/1 mix that enables the smooth idle while in the open loop mode?

Why have open loop 100% of the time?

Forget that last question. Tomo explains: http://www.r3owners.net/showthread.php?t=1727&highlight=open+loop

The new stock tunes are on the Tuneboy webpage they are tunes 20145 thru 20151. The only difference with the new stock tunes that I can see is the idle is set higher; however, there may be some other "stuff" going on that we don't know about. Basically the 2005_3 tune was done with the 20050 tune (old stock tune) as the base tune, I copied the fuel and ignition tables to the 20145 new release tune.

I'll put a good tune together for you HeR3tic. Just the cat bypass right??? With your exhaust and intake set up I would inclined to leave the O2 sensor alone and let it go closed loop when it wants. It might provide a better idle for you, plus be able to better adapt to changing conditions such as ambient temp and altitude.

Silencer upgrade ONLY

I have and will remain with Classic exhaust pipes with the fur ball neutered. It's just the right amount of noise. The growl is perfect.

I have decel popping from 3rd on down, at <2000-2200 rpm. With the O2 sensor as is, how can the lean A/F at low RPM and the resulting decel popping be resolved. Inasmuchas (one word right) recent discoveries find that the ECM over-turns any TuneBoy mods (how does that happen) in the low RPM range the decel popping will contiune unless the O2 sensor is aborted.

The 20150 might fit, except I want 255 in all gears and speedo corrected. I want to experience the power politicians can only dream of:D I may tame 'er back after awhile or as dictated by tire mileage decrease.

What tune do you have now? All you need to do is copy the L tables from Pig9r into the tune you're using and check the box in the tune constants page in the latest version of Tuneboy (3.3.3) to disable the O2 sensor. Put all the values in the secondaries table to 100. Then download that tune.

I can report that the PCIIIO2 sensor bypass has virtually eliminated the popping problem for me. You still need added fuel in the L tables.

Has anyone tried Wayne's O2 sensor eliminator in his latest version?

I just got an e-mail from Wayne. He said that if you disable the O2 sensor in Tuneboy, to disconnect the sensor connector.

"Hi

1. Yes I think you should disconnect the sensor.

2. The L tables are used when the motor is looking up fuel based on
manifold
pressure, this has nothing to do with the O2 sensor.

The A/F targets are used to work out the ratio of fuel required for the
amount of air the motor pulls in, this again has nothing to do with the O2
sensor as the sensor is just a rich/lean switch and does not tell the ECU
the actual A/F value.

Thanks

Wayne"

I've a No-popSenior tune to download tomorrow into my beast. I got my files mixed up and thought I did the Senior today, upgrading from Junior:D. I'll disconnect the O2 sensor shortly thereafter (isolating phases). With recent mods to a 20143 tune (Classic with standard exhaust and fur ball removed) including copied I1-4 tables, thanks P9r (20050DynoFinal...), and L1-3 table to quell the decel popping, thanks DougL (F8 et al.), I'll be upping to 100% open secondaries (Senior).

Perhaps, with disconnecting the O2 sensor (Im behind the power curve) the idle will more quickly return to 820 mol. With your most recent contribution DougL to eliminate the decel pop the start up idle (lt 1000) and at running temp. idle are slow to drop to or return to 820. At the same time and on the other hand, I've unchecked O2 Sensor Fitted and there's absolutely no decel popping with the L table additions you've worked up DougL. There's a slow decrease from about 1100 to 820, at operating temps., which really is NOT prolonged or a real issue.

This TuneBoy is super! "Unleash the True Potential" is RFO!

O2 Tune

Pig9r:
Got tune, install went great, just follow the numbers.
Just got back from a 2 hour test drive.
Lets see Engine smoother over entire rpm range,
tons of power, didn't detect any flat spots, Decell
almost nonexistant just a little burble on occasion.
Exhaust smooth and cool in normal operating range.
Drop the hammer and hang on it ROARS

Going to DC next week will post review on a longer trip.

Currently I'm running the underseat K&N and I'm sure its
holding the engine back. Will be installing 3 2780's when I get back. Is there currently, or could you put this tune together. It would be much appreciated, anybody need feedback, send them to me. One more time Drop the Hammer and it ROARS. mjbell1
