Okay, I got back from Maggie Valley, NC yesterday. There was some rain and some temp changes. This helmet foggs up easily... Very easily. I use Scotts anti-fogg wipes and they have worked on everything else I own except for this helmet. I applied, applied, and reapplied the stuff to the visor and built in sunglasses, not a dang bit of good it did.
Saturday about 2 miles before we stopped for lunch, there came a down-poor. I had been riding with the modular piece up and the sunglasses down for eye protection, as soon as the rain started I pulled the modular piece down, it fogged up almost instantly. It fogged up so bad that I could not see. So, I flipped it back up, well, I guess the heat of me breathing also caused the sunglasses to fog up then, I had to raise them also. That left me riding about 2 miles in the pouring rain at about 30mph with no eye protection.
After that, i played with the helmet some and realised that if the modular piece was left cracked, a small amount of air could get in there and it wouldn't fogg up as bad.
My only other issue with this helmet is that I couldn't try it on before I bought it. It is a little loose, but I think a smaller size would be too tight.
The helmet is awesome over all.
The good:
It's light.
The built in sunglasses cover almost the entire viewable area when the modular piece is down.
The modular piece can lock up and be worn that way.
The airflow when the modular piece up is excelent.
It looks good.
Provides full face crash protection via the stationary chin bar even when the modular piece is up.
Provides good air flow when modular piece is down if left cracked.
The bad:
Foggs easily
Can't try on before purchasing.
Could have better air flow when modular piece is locked down. If modular piece is left cracked, it has less perephial visability.
