Thanks for the input all. I'm thinking of riding up to Reno and having them put the TORS exhaust on. It's only 112 miles east of me over the Sierra mountains. Should only be around $600.00 for the exhaust and tune. I may hit the blackjack tables for a few minutes also.

I found out the local Triumph dealer will remap TORS exhaust if I put them on. They stated if they put on any aftermarket exhaust CARB will close them down (gotta love California) $500.00 for the TORs sounds a whole lot better than $1300.00 +. I can put them on and they will charge me $55.00 for the map. I'm good with that.

For a $20 cable you can re-map it yourself - as often as you want to - and check and fix all sorts of other stuff. Personally, I think TuneECU is the most essential tool in the care and maintenance of your motorcycle.

I agree

A perfect example is replacing the TPS, which will definitely happen at some point. The cost of a TPS is quite enough, but to pay a stealer to install and set the voltage is just throwing money away on something that's very simple to do with TuneECU

Not sure where you'd stand on the warranty if you reprogram your ECU with TuneECU, it's not the Triumph authorised way of doing it

I am waiting for one further year before doing anything with TuneECU, even though I have the cable and am very familiar with it as I've used it lots with my KTM

Chances of any issue like that would be really low but wouldn't it suck if the ECU went and Triumph told you to get lost on a warranty claim...
