Hey Guys,
I purchased the universal keyless ignition from Guard Dawg a couple weeks ago. I started looking at it today and am slightly bewildered about how to do it. Has anyone got specific directions for wiring it to an 06 R3?
I've already installed the Eastern Beaver light re-do kit. Very good directions!

Best advice I can give you is return it, get your money back and contact @DEcosse . I run his system on both my R3s as do several others. Its basically plug and play, comes with excellent install instructions and he will talk you through the install ovee the phone if necessary

I'm seriously considering that option. I like the plug and play instead of hacking away at wires. Wish I'd have seen his keyless ignition first!

I did receive inquiry from Tadman earlier today - thanks to those who directed him accordingly

Just for comparison, here are the significant differences

D'Ecosse system designed specifically for Triumph and particularly the RIII.
D'Ecosse system is completely plug n play - DGD has to be manually wired and requires cutting/splicing of OEM harnesses & reconfiguration of the OEM Kill/Run switch
D'Ecosse system has three switched circuits - DGD has only two (so two of OEM circuits must be doubled up)
D'Ecosse system flashes the turn signals indicating arm/disarm process - DGD does not have this feature
D'Ecosse system has a disarmed'' indicator utilizing the OEM Alarm Indicator right in the dash - DGD has no visible indicator
D'Ecosse system remote has no sleep function on remote but still utilizes battery saving only active when detected; completely hands-free - DGD has a sleep mode which may require physical agitation to awaken*
D'Ecosse system remote has Green and Red LED indications for armed/disarmed/detected - DGD has none.

* Their User Manual actually instructs
Walk over and pick up the Dawg Tag. Give it a slight shake to activate the motion sensor .....

Hardly hands-free, is it? :D

In full disclosure mine does cost more - users can decide if those advantages listed are value.

Welcome from Maine, I'm going the keyless route as well, just a matter of money and time as all things are in life.

Hoopla
