I was doing my vents over so that the vents are more open like they are floating and butting up to my new spoiler.
Then I started to think should I follow the radiator making the vents one piece? So I don't need the side cover anymore?
Or should I make it in two pieces and just put the radiator cover on, like it was before? Here's a a pictures of it now and a picture how it was before.
What do you guys think will look better?

Certainly remarkable. I like the more open design on the side pieces.

It's not my intention to drizzle on your parade. I'm certainly not an aero designer so I'm at a loss. The upward air flow from the chin appears interrupted by the directional flow imparted by the downward projecting integrated vents. This interruption would seem to put a hot spot, for lack of cooling, directly behind the chin vents, and possibly more so. Why not have the vent aspect directing the flow up from the chin spoiler?

As warm as the Rocket is in the heat of deep south and desert southwest regions, I don't know why I'd want to put restriction on the cooling system. The beast gets mighty toasty at times. Although, I have started using a water wetter additive that has worked fabulously. That may be all you need to insure cooling. I run a mixture with straight distilled water and water wetter in the summer and add or change out the mixture with a measure of anti-freeze added for the winter. The beast doesn't get over 190 on the oil temp gauge in 105 degree heat and hasn't frozen in 10 degree frozen weather.

Great looking cool weather you're enjoying in your parts. As usual, I road mine to work and back today.:D

spoiler and vents

HeR3tic, Last summer I was on my Rocket with the old spoiler that went up even higher.
And my vents that where a lot less air flow and I was in traffic stop and go for almost two hours in temp 85 and not even close to over heat.:)
Now with my new spoiler that is shorter and dished out deeper for more air flow and my top scoop is only about 1 1/4 high above and it as four slits in for more air and my sleek vents that are mostly open, I have no dout that she will be just fine.:)
I think its no less air then the grills that say Rocket III.
My dealer said at most I'll here the fan come on more and the fan doesn't come on any more then it did with out.

I like the more open side vents. Obviously put chrome covers back on and the new lower vents look good and this should also get some air moving under the block as well. Nice job. Cant wait to see the paint.

vents

Kmutt, Thanks but I've decided to do what evilbob said make the vents all in one.
I had my chrome covers off because the chrome was pealing and I was just going to paint it black.
I think making the vents all in one the radiator will not be as wide.
But we will see what it looks like when finished and when I find some one to make me a fibberglass vent and spoiler it will be even sleeker because it will be thinner and lighter.
But up close it even looks better

my new vents with my grill

I made a grill that goes in the center. This is what it looks like so far all together, I just have the grill sitting on my spoiler when I figure out how to mount it it will be about a half inch off the top of the spoiler.
I'm just waiting for Triumphs chrome emblem that I'm going to counter sink in the middle of the grill, I think will give a nice touch.
When I get it, hopfully next week, I will paint everything black.
I made the side vents all into one, Evilbob said it would look better. I'm glad I listened to him. It took off about one inch off on both sides of the raidiator:)
What do you guys think of it so far?
This is why I didn't want to cut the top of my spoiler scoop off so now my grill is not as big looking:) I really think it gives the Rocket a nice clean look.

Thanks, all chromed would look sharp but it would be expensive may be one day I look in to it and see how much:) But for now I'll paint it all black with the chrome grill it should pop.
