New to forum and new to Triumph (2005 Rocket III)

Welcome from south LA.

I wouldn't think just slipons would cause that much problem without changing the intake also. But if it ran right before, then it's probably too lean now. Does it have any popping on decel?

I'm not one of the technical gurus here, so all I can do is say Welcome from Sunny South Florida and I hope you'll enjoy the time you spend with us!

is it missing right from the start?
if it runs ok up to 3000 rpm and then won't run any faster then the pipes might be clogged, for example just for fun someone might have put golf balls down the tubes.
did you use the 02sensor? is it connected?

Just wanted to let everyone know I got the firmware and tunecu to work. Went ahead and downloaded and installed a map from this site similar to my mods. Took put the baffles too and this think is a literal Rocket. Everything is working great and I know there is a lot more to learn, but I'm satisfied for now. I'm not going to make changes in timing or fuel on my own until I am a little more knowledgeable. Thanks guys for all the help.

Hello,
I just bought my first Triumph and got a 2005 Rocket III. I love this bike. I have a couple others but this is the BIG DOG. I have put some miles on it already and only had it a week. As soon as I got it I ordered D&D slip ons and installed them tonight. ..............Went for a ride and it ran very rough. There is no WOT or it stumbles. It only runs ok at 3000 rpm or lower. Just wondering if anyone could respond and give me some advice. It was completely stock and I have stock air breather. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. David.

I have the D%D pipes and I use a tune for jardines with no issue. You essentially removed the cat and cross over so it's now flowing a lot more exhaust. Even with triumph's TOR tune it was popping a ton.
