spoiler
Thanks you guys on all the compliments,
But there is three things I need to think about to make it perfect befor I even consider to sell them. this is the first time I made anything for a motorcycle; my trade is upholstery and I did carve when I was younger so kind of rusty right now
, however,
1. Because I did it out of wood the bottom where the bracket is I glued it and screwed it in it will never come un-done.
and there is no screw holes what looks nice but all I did is go to Home Depo and buy some thin sheet metal and cut it out with a jig saw. It doesn't look pofessional but it works
2. When I do have someone make it out of fiberglass because I do not know how, what am I going to do for brackets? Because the fiberglass will be too thin unless I screw it on which you will see two screws on each side - yuk. The only thing I could think about is do the same brackets and fiberglass them on and then fibeberglass them so they look good
even though you really can't see them.
3. And I'm also thinking that it's too big even though up close looks really cool but looking at a picture of the side view, the spoiler looks a little too close and by the time you fiberglass it and paint it, the spoiler will be even closer to the tire - even though plenty of room for turning.
I was thinking of makeing it a little smaller so you'll have the same room around the curve of the tire and the spoiler.
But I'm not sure what would look better right know it looks like a spoiler and if I go smaller just to get the same room between the tire and the spoiler would it look better?
I was also thinking of putting a mud flap to protect from stone chips but I think that will take away the line
so I was thinking of that thin plastic see through cover they put on in front of cars so I don't get any stone chips would that be hard to cover the spoiler in that clear plastic to prevent stone chips?
