It probably is, but that doesn't mean that where there's a will there's not a way. Piggyback devices such a PC5 and the like will probably be the first to come out with something, but myriad ways will surface eventually. If humans made it, humans can remake it. I guarantee.

Oh I shan't be doing much more.
I have extra position lights in the top case - and my dual-led (red/orange) brake/indicators.
If something pops up - fine - but imo the best solution is to segregate tail and brake functions.

This depends then on where to mount. And I have played about. I run with side cases always. And that changes WHERE.

OH WELL, OK THEN! :(

I can guide you through this if you like https://app.box.com/s/z5qgsaheo9z8nglwe5ec8xcgdxj7qaij

imo the issue with the stock tail is the shape. It is visible from many angles but not HIGHLY VISIBLE from any. And also I have to be very careful about the "€" markings.

Something like this

wired in parallel (one on each side case - or one under the numberplate) would be my current option - but this set in particular are NOT as weather proof as I'd hoped. My cases come off for the MoT test (to accommodate stock pipes) so the lack of "€" is less of an issue. Other stuff I have made up to try has been too specific to my bike.

If you were not worried about cases - then I have seen some stuff for classic cars that might do the job. http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/category/front-side-lights/ - use a clear lens and a red LED "bulb". Or the Motone indicators as well Lights & Switches - again clear lens and red LED.

Anyone heard about someone tinkering with the new 1200 engine to get more out of it?

My friend Jerry finally took my advice (hounding) to get a PC5, X-Pipe, and some less restrictive air intakes installed on his Thruxton R. It is being Dyno Tuned later today. He had already done a dyno check a few weeks ago to get a baseline. I'll let you know what he gets.

Well what a bust. All that expense and effort and NO increase in peak power output. A little bit more on the bottom and midrange, but NOTHING on top.
