Sure - Norway is one of the most expensive nations on Earth because they tax their citizens enormously, especially on luxury goods like motorcycles I would imagine. Finland is not quite as expensive, but even my R3 Touring set me back something along the lines of $27000. And that was a deal on a bike that had been unsold for a while, a new one would have seen prices past $30000. I had to go into debt for literally years to pay for it.
The price you pay to get free health care and actual functional infrastructure and free schools etc... it's a bit of a pain, though Norway takes it to an entirely different level. Of course, their salaries are also higher than in Finland, generally.
I think the upsides are worth it - you don't need stuff like expensive medical plans, and you are never at risk of going bankrupt from medical bills, and you don't have to save up for your kids to go to college because that too comes out of the taxes you pay, I have yet to even see a pothole that could damage my bike this year etc.
That said, congrats on the new Rocket!
