Thanks to all for your warm welcome. I live in Langhorne Pa, just north of Philadelphia. I bought the bike from Manayunk Triumph where Buzz, Steve, Jake, Tommy, and Hank provide superior service to all their customers.

Everybody knows car tires belong on cars..
besides, you could only go straight with a flat profile tire like that...

Welcome from Virginia. That's a cherry 06 you picked up. The 1st and 2nd gear issue is easy enough to resolve and all depends on how much you enjoy wrenching your own.

My advice would be to get you an ODBII cable and download TuneECU (free). If you have access to a laptop or netbook, it makes it real easy. TuneECU will let you set the secondary butterflies to 100% at all times without having to do any wrenching.

If you are so included to do a little more, order a pod filter set from our very own Flip (www.flipmeisters.com) and perform the triple pod filter mod. This will allow you to remove the secondaries altogether and remove the VERY restrictive air tubing from under the tank and the seat. Not only does this open up the airway but it also leaves you with a handy-dandy storage space under the tank and leaves the whole top of the engine exposed for future maintenance.

Others will suggest a Gipro ATRE which will also trick the ECU into thinking that it is in the higher gears thus bypassing the restriction.

Again, welcome and enjoy.

One other thing. You should go ahead and perform a headlight relay mod before the ignition switch fails. That has been a very prominent issue with all year models due to the way Triumph designed the headlight circuit.

You can get very high quality kit here, Link Removed, or you can build your own if you are so inclined. The EB kit works great and is easy to install.

Ask others on this board, this is an important thing to do fairly soon.

Coud not agree more with Tdragger cept unless you want a gear indicator I wouldn't bother with the Gipro when you can do it all with the $20 cable and TuneECU (free)
