New Noise

I have noticed that in the past week I will sometimes get a "Click" sound when I push the start button. On the second try it will normally kick over. Today I was about 10 miles from home and it started it again , this time it took 5 or 6 tries to get it going. This evening it started right up.
When I got home I let it sit a bit , and checked the voltage >>12.56 VDC. The battery is about 2.5 yrs old. Earlier this year I had the starter rebuilt by a shop that know what they are doing.
I hate it when the problem is a on again off again. I like to address the problem before I am stranded out in the boon-docks.
Any ideas

I would check the switch,that wuold be my first guess

I would change out the starter relay. Check this thread out:
