I had my bike back at the tuners to get the MAP sensor issue resolved. Well, he still couldn't get the 2 bar sensor tuned in ( I'm told that with a turbo I need a 2 bar). I told him to stop trying, pull the plug and tune the bike without. I picked it up, bike runs fine, no low rpm blurps or high rpm sputter. The only problems that still remain are The bike has gone dead at a light twice (probably to much fuel) in about 50 miles. I have to crack the throttle a bit to get it started when warmed up. And last but not least, as with all that have the MAP sensor disconnected, the check engine light is on.
Possible fix: I've got a new tuner, one that seems to know his ****e. He says that the newer version PCIII's have an option that allows you to tell the ECU when you change from a 1 bar to a 2 bar MAP sensor. He says if you don't tell the ECU to read a 2 bar it will never run right with the 2 bar. If you have tuneboy I'd check to see if this option is avalible when you connect the 2 bar. I'm taking my bike to him this week to see if he can get these problems fixed. I can't wait to get this thing to the drag strip, it's scary fast.
