New disc lock

Watching Intermot Show on Sky I saw an Abus disc lock with a built in alarm the benefit of which is that if you move your bike upright off the stand the alarm will go off. This would lessen the likelihood of riding off with the disc on as I have in the past necessitating a new disc. Luckily it was at the European Hog rally and they had a very efficient on site workshop so the work was done that day.
Very embarrassing though
 
Do you have a model number? I checked the Abus locks website and can't find any locks with an alarm. Thanks.
 
I've never found any need disc locks and such, I believe the size of the bike puts off any wanna be joy rider and as for a pro thief these things wont cause him much trouble cos if he wants it he'll take it regardless, so why bother especially it they can do damage if you forget to take them off!!!! :shock:
 
I have a bright yellow hog tail wire on the disc lock that attaches to the gear shifter - no forgetting that one!
 
Im with Billy , I only have the alarm because the insurance specified that it was fitted .
