One for the Aussie's , I am in need of a new battery what is the best one to get and what was the part number if you have it ?

CTX20L-BS. Yuasa I think is the OEM brand. I still have my original one in and going strong after 4 1/2 years. Reckon it depends on a few factors; primarily how often you ride and where you park. If the bike's out in the really cold you might have some starting trouble. Lot of people are critical of the original battery but I put it down largely to their climate and amount of riding. One big advantage with the batteries you have to put the acid in yourself is of course they havn't been sitting around on a shelf ie they're always fresh. In Melbourne, especially if you park inside in winter and ride at least a couple of times a week you should be fine with pretty much anything.

Had a Odyssey in mine .. was $300+ from battery world . Been told they are now made in China and no better than the Yuasa that comes stock. I'll be replacing the Odyssey with a Motobatt after recommendation from Gothlander. Running a Motobatt in my Speed Triple , cheap as the sh!tty cheap ones but better quality I'm told.

Yep, agree with TC about Motobatt. They're the middle rung ones at the bike shop and a fair bit cheaper than Yuasa but probably as good, especially if you ride pretty regularly. The part number might be different but there's a cross reference on the side of the box.

My biggest problem is i don't ride enough and i forget to put the trickle charger on sometimes, its a 2010 bike with std battery so its not holding the charge as good now and with winter coming will only get worse .

Same as me Dave.... I put a trickle charger (battery tender) on mine through a cigarette socket.

I know nothing about them but it sounds good if you believe the blurb, will fit and is priced somewhere between Yuasa and Motobat. Looks like it needs it's own charger but they're not to dear either. Are there any reviews?
