New battery question..

Do you remember when lead batteries use to last years longer than their ratings? A buddy of mine told me that was because they used virgin lead. Now almost all lead batteries use recycled lead and that is why they don’t last? Apparently they have closed most of the lead mines around the world because it an environmental issue? I have not confirmed this but it makes sense.
My 2014 R3 is still running the original battery. It is now coming up to 9 years old and still working fine. I guess it's time to replace it now due to its age.

I have a lithium-ion battery from Bikemaster on mine. Model DLFP20L-BS.
Had it for 3 years now. Still works just fine. In the cold, Its great. You just have to wake it up. Hit the starter. it sounds like its dying. Turn off the key...wait a few seconds... start it again it gets faster. Turn it off. Then start it again and it wakes up with a full start. I have these lithium batteries in both my quads too. They work great. I've seen them on e-bay for A few hundred bucks. Good luck.

Hi again, fellow Rocketeers!
I’m planning to swap out my current battery (pic below) for a new one.
I’m in Toronto, Canada and was considering going AGM or Gel this time over FLA but a friend of mine is pushing me to get Lithium.
From what I’ve researched, lithium doesn’t like cold. However, if I remove it and store it indoors it should be good, right?
What are your thoughts on AGM over Gel?
Any other considerations?
Also, any preferred brand? Yuasa would be my first pick unless something better out there. Not brand loyal but that’s just what I’ve always used and has worked on other bikes.

Bought a lithium battery but bike struggled to turn over . changed to a Westco WCP20L AGM and starts first time. The CCA was far higher on the lithium battery but Rocket didn't like it.
