New Accessories on Roadster

Thanks for the compliments. I plan on chopping the fenders eventually, so I didn't care to modify the rear bracket or move the plate. Not sure when I'll be doing it, but I think I want to pay it off first. It shouldn't be more than a couple seasons.

I got the mirrors of Ebay, but with a short google search of black led mirrors, you could find other places that sell them. I saw them for about $100 on one site, $150 on another and then $25 buy it now price on Ebay... I did that.

The Belly pan is from NewR3.com.

The grips are from britishcustoms.com and the have the bar ends that allow you to lock your helmet to the bike. It's great to be able to leave your helmet locked on the bike without making it look funny.

I got the plate frame from Badlands, but after I did, I found them cheaper somewhere else.

I also just got back from a day trip with the iPhone being used as a GPS. It worked great and I could control everything and see everything fine while on the road. Didn't create too much distraction.

I really like your mirrors, but which ones did you get?
I want to make sure I get the right ones.Take a look at the ebay listings and post the number of the ones that you got .New and used motorcycle mirrors black led, Automotive on eBay.ca
Did you wire your mirrors in too? was it easy to do?
thanks Mac

The link you posted had mirrors that look like the ones I got. Make sure to use the ones with a threaded bolt style mount. Not the two bolt that would go on a faired sport bike. Also, the mirrors just slide through the stock points and have just enough thread sticking out the bottom of the hole to use the nut supplied with the mirrors. The nuts that came with mine are cheaper aluminum. I didn't torque them down very hard since I felt I could strip them. They have worked well so far, but if they give me any trouble, I won't have a hard time finding steel replacements at the hardware store.

As for the wiring, it was not difficult at all, I cut the wires from the stock lights far with enough slack to be able to reattach them if needed. Then it was just a couple automotive wire couplers and some electrical tape used to cover the colorful couplers and then make sure they are tucked out of the way with zip ties or however you like to bundle wires.

Here is a link to a post with a close up picture of the mirrors. http://www.r3owners.net/accessories/5588-rocket-iii-clear-indicators-2.html
