Neutral issue

Double clutch her and she will drop right into first!

always have the 2mm free play. does your lever have numbers to adjust the lever if so what number r u using?
i agree with rocket scientist i just pop the clutch a little then it goes into neutral but be careful someone behind u might think that u r taking off.

You are on the right track. I have found the free play to be a very fine line to walk when it comes to shifting into neutral and sometimes other gears. Free play is needed but measuring is over rated. When you get it right, everything will work and you will still have free play. Hell...there is no free play when you are moving at speed so what's that all about.

This is my second Rocket and the first one was exactly the same. A fraction of a turn makes all the difference. Catching neutral is easier when rolling to a stop going from second. Easy to do as well when rolling going from first to neutral. I usually don't shift down to first until almost stopped anyway. Way to clunky for me.

Sitting at a light can be a different story. I often don't sit at a light with my clutch held in either...especially on a long light I know about. With that said, I always keep an eye out behind me and am ready to make a move in a flash Pull the clutch in and hit it why things are still turning slightly guarantees a "no pop out of first" when you take off. A sudden pop out of first gear in a take off turn can l put you on the ground if you don't expect it. I'm also with you @Rocket Scientist on this one.

I’ve had to use a nickel, works for me, I have 2008 and the switch ( gear selector) has been replaced once
