Naked...or Dressed!

I kinda got the removal of the stock bags and brackets down to about 15 minuets. All I did was drill holes in the bags right behind the fender rail bolts. Just large enough to pass the Allen driver through. Therefore I don't have to remove the bags from the brackets in order to remove the brackets from the bike.
Works for now, maybe later I'll invest in easy brackets.

Got the same set-up on my saddlebags , can't remember who originally suggested it .. good idea though. I have another smaller set of bags with easy brackets .. prefer the 2 bolt set-up to be honest.

Same here. Not an option on the Touring though.

Have a windshield........like it! Have a backrest/sissy bar......old lady likes it! Have a Saddleman black studded day bag mounted.....like it! More luggage available but only mount when I need it.......I'like mine just fine this way! :)

Don't like saddle bags so bought an RJAYS tail bag (explorer I think it's called) expands from 47 to 81 litres - it holds 50 metres of builders film, 20lt water proof lubricant, a length of sturdy hemp rope, several small marsupials who were 'too slow', a copy of Neurosurgery For Dummies and various small wooden cooking implements...everything one could need on a rollicking first date with that special new lady friend.

Tis little wonder the 'foreigners' won't take us Aussies seriously ... everyone knows waterproof lubricants only available in 10 litre containers

I haven’t taken my windscreen or bags off the tourer yet. But I will say that I like it both ways for many of the reason others have eluded too. I need the storage space each day but I love to ride without the bags or windscreen when the weather is nice. Having two Rockets would be the best, one for scorching the tarmac and the other for scorching with a pillion and luggage…
