Someday, I want to build a Rocket from parts purchased from all over the world. Like, buy an engine from a wrecked bike and rebuild it. A frame from a different one. Get a banged up gas tank, sand it down, fix it up, repaint it. Make my own exhaust. The bike would be Darkside, of course.

That's it take the easy route :D

Seems your not the only one with a bike building dream these days.. Just heard about this build going on.. Their first build kinda looks like the Rocket III....

Said it would have to be the fastest motorcycle ever built. When I watch some youtube videos with a Boss Hoss sporting a viper engine or built v-8 it would seem to be hard to surpass those in power. There is another video though, of a race between a Boss Hoss and a ZX12 where the ZX wins. Boss Hoss can't get traction.

Mike, you have way too much time on your hands over there don't you?!?

It's just that there's not a whole lot to do with what free time I get. I work 7 days a week over here, sometimes for 20+ hours, sometimes for 5 or less.

I know what you mean, after retiring, I spent 15 months in USCC, half down range the other half in the COAC pulling straight 7s and 14-18 hours days. I built many a cool machine in my head while trying to stay off the witch hunt radar of general order number one...
