Muscle bike shoot out

Thos clowns who have taken control of M/C Cruiser mag are the same dopes for Hot Bike Bagger. No wonder they don't know how to ride. Waaa-they had trouble turning a R3. Wake up already. The more I read the more I wonder why I do. None of them can polish Alan Cathcart's shoes-now there is a professional writer.

Sure do miss Cherney and Hearn.

THE TRICK WITH THE VMAX is to lower rear tire pressure and heat the tire with a good burnout WE ran 9.9 141.85 and we will go faster the stock tire is slippery and the magazine guys cant ride once the MAX gets a grip it beats the BKING easy and the new MAX handles great you have to change the ECU to the optional race ECU to remove the restrictions to allow it to reach 170mph ;)

Anybody who wants to reach 170 on the street and not on a closed course has the balls of King Kong and the brains of a piss ant..........:)

I dont know why they are comparing it (Vmax) to anything because it stands on its own. I dont see it in a class with the rocket. I guess they just want to pick on the Brits, yknow the tea thing and all :p

The vmax has always been a power bike even when they came out with it 25yrs ago.
And They are a sweet machine.
Id like to see it up against a ducati 999 or a hayabusa, something in that category. It would be the same as the rocket in the vmax category.

But interesting numbers just the same.
Like to see IMFASTTOO and Hombres machines against it.

And how much modding can you do to the vmax. It may be close to its limit.

mutt

Close to it's limit? could it get any ****tier mileage? Maybe the range could be reduced to 40 miles ... aftermarket saddlebags designed to just carry gas cans maybe. Or a small pickup truck to follow it around as a service vehicle perhaps. I can't believe this thing is getting any attention at all. Hell, bikes like this exist everywhere ... this is nothing new other than the fact that it came out of the box f'd up. The only thing special about this Vmax version is that Yamaha already tweeked it to the point of not being practical. No shade tree mods necessary. Hell, the range wouldn't even allow me to drive home from the dealer without a refill. Whats the point?! And I LIKE Yamaha, I like Vmax too, but it's not a muscle cruiser anymore. They've taken years of customer mods and incorporated them into a production version to make a badass bike. Nice work, but doesn't that negate the cruiser it was originally designed to be? It needs a new classification ... any ideas what the class name should be? How about "factory drag" or "maxed out of the box",... 'cause "Cruiser" is out!
****, now I sound like Flip talking about parts prices.;)

WE RAN 9.9 @141.85 on the max BUT our SUPER ROCKET runs away from it We ran 2 BUSAs at the track and beat both with the MAX and forget about the 999 no contest they are a much slower and hard to launch

HEY we have gotten as good as 38mpg on the MAX but thats cruising on the highway but just as good as the other bikes so it has decent range if you you take it easy and its very smooth and also comy so is a good cruiser to my surprise

You must suffer from numb butt 24/7. From what I see and from the peg/seat and handlebar location in the pictures, that looks like one uncomfortable SOB. Pub cruiser maybe.

38 ain't good. My car gets 36 and it has air conditioning and cloth seats with armrests and if the weather is ****ty, it has a windshield and wipers...and side doors too.
