I happened to be at the local bike shop when a guy was in there picking up his new V-Max. I was heading out of the door when I happened to glance over and see it sitting on the showroom floor. Say what you want, ****ty gas mileage, poser bike, I don't care, that is one awesome motorcycle. I talked to the new owner who was waiting for the final paperwork to be done. He had been on a waiting list for well over six months and what was impressive, the old fart was my age. He had two other V's at home in his garage and this was crown jewel in his collection. I think the Max riders are allot like the R3 crowd. It is another cult motorcycle that has affinity and following for speed. I remember the earlier advertisements when the bike first appeared on the market, you had to document your riding ability to do a test drive because of the performance. If I had a choice between an new Rocket and a new V-Max. I would really have to think long and hard. Just my opinion and we all know what they are like.
