Mt. Barney ride

What a fabulous day, went for a ride around Mt. Barney. The weather was glorious, couldn't have been better.

Beautiful country dude...but if that's Mt. Barney you've never seen a real mountain! That would hardly be considered more than a pimple here in Colorado where we have 50 peaks over 13 thousand feet in elevation! Several over 14K! But I guess one little hill is better than none. I've some kin in Australia. In the "prawning" buz. Always wanted to visit down under but it's too expensive and too **** long on a god-rotting plane! Luv your poisonous snakes, huge crocs and Funnel Web spiders! Great open spaces. Low population density...my kinda place!

So how come you Aussies and Kiwi's don't seem to like each other much? Or is that just some bull**** we're fed in the states? Your accents/inflections are a bit more intense than those of New Zealanders. NZ seems to be a really cool...and Polynesian...island of continental origin. Kinda the best place the seafaring islanders ever colonized. Way more natural resources than Hawai'i or Tahiti afforded them. Likewise, your great island/continent of Australia is a treasure trove of resources...killer opals...although your mountains aint no great shucks

Us Kiwi's and Aussies love to give each other curry but when it comes to the crunch we have each others back.

Yeah you're probably correct, but Pimple Barney just doesn't sound right eh? And it's widely known that you Yanks have everything bigger and better than the rest of the world, we're not trying to compete ...

And we love the Kiwi's, it's about having a bit of fun at your'e mates expense. Heck if it wasn't for Kiwi's this place would be empty ...

And yeah, that plane ride, thank God for that!

The Aussie / Kiwi thing is pretty much the same as the US / Canada thing. Love to take the piss and love to beat them - especially at Rugby (if/when we can) - or in your case, hockey - but they are closer than cousins to us. The ANZAC legend is founded in fact and if anyone takes on one of us, they take on the other.
