Are the ignition tables altered as well? I'm trying to avoid warranty issues. I can mention this to the service writer and see his take on if the warranty would be in jeopardy if I did load a tune (or several) to try them out.

Yes, it's quite different. I believe that if you load anything into the ECU, the Triumph tool will know. If you're worried about the warranty, leave it.
