Truth is what i really hate about scooters is when they pull up next to you at a set of traffic lights. All smiles, nodding and grinning like we're some sort of " kindred spirit" for f#cks sake .. glad i wear an openface helmet , that misbelief is quickly dispelled !! :D

I feel more of a bond with scooter riders than I do with the H-D crowd. The scooter rider isn't afraid to GO HIS OWN WAY.

Speaking of Harley's, when I went over to Dothan, AL last Tuesday I went over and also harrassed the local Harley dealer. Nice place, the guy I was meeting suggested we get coffee there as he has done a number of trike jobs for them.

As I was strolling thru the different bikes there was one that caught my eye. It was a beautiful blue CVO Road King with a small skull inset between the headlights, 110 cu. (bigger than my Thunderbird...doubt it had more power however...but smaller than the Rocket still) stereo, cruise...beautiful bike. But being a "CVO" I knew it would be priced a lot higher than the standard Road King.

Price was just under $32,000 plus T,T &T...bottom line....the blue paint job wasn't that good:D.

The CVOs generally run to around $60K out here!! Must say I like to visit the Harley shop just to smell the leather and the bikes look beautiful - but sooooo small and over-priced.
Gotta admit "Robbo's" has a good cafe in it and good tucker too!!:D

Thanks for the replies gentlemen
Just to correct the error in my original post..BMW scooters will be made at the Motorrad plant in Berlin..as if you care

I'm not accusing anyone of being anti-scooter..i just happen to like all forms of two wheeled transport..from a Goldwing to a 50cc scooter and i also ride a push bike to try and keep some level of fitness..if it's got two wheels i'll ride it regardless of what it is and enjoy it for what it is..it's all good ;)

I was just making sure I didn't offend you I am similar I still ride both a road and mtn bike for fitness and only stop riding sports bikes for long distance comfort, I have always been a bit of rev head and one day back in 07 test rode a Rocket nuff said still have a ST1100 which I loved and can't bear to sell even thou I haven't ridden it in nearly 2 years but I must say I draw the line at goldwings! Might as well add two more wheels and drive a car just not cup of tea

Of course we all have our favorites, (aahhemmm!!! r3's of course!!!) but there is a lot to appreciate about many other rides especially the non-cage two-wheeled variety. That being said I am still deficient on the 'minimum age' required for the Goldwing.
