Well, yes.. When I first saw the drawings and that blue-greenish first prototype, I thought the Rocket just trumped the Honda CX500 as the ugliest bike ever. A bike with a sideways Geo Metro motor in it! But, somehow I still keep owning the Rocket.. :)

There are some cool looking scooters out there though.. and yes some how the words cool looking, and scooter still don't belong in the same sentence.. ;)

At least the non chinese scooters have a half decent look to them not like the Rocket11 in fact the best part of the Rockets111s looks ran down its mothers leg.

Gilera-Fuoco.jpg If you must have a scoot Ray, this 500cc Gilera looks the biz ;)
Have actually tested one of these as a Dare and had a ball not what i would call powerfull but a lot of fun and If I lived in a city (never gonna happen) I would consider one purely for the fact that they are cheap to run and move well in traffic:D

:eek:
I have a good friend I ride with who has 3 scooters.. 1 with a side car!!. I've ridden them, but no way.. I will trike, or even go to a 250cc motorcycle before I go the scooter route.. I just feel very much like the Miller Lite ad I posted.. lol I even wear pink shirts.. but I'm not going the scooter route.
:eek: Pink Shirts!!!!!:eek::eek:

Yes.. I've had a CX500 before too.. :) lol Guess I'm attracted to ugly bikes.. Glad my taste in women hasn't followed that path.. lol :)

and.. dang it, I don't think I own a pink shirt at the moment.. Guess I will have to remedy that for a pic.. lol

In Australia scooter riders tear around the place in shorts, singlets and no footwear. They fall off the stupid things and end up in our hospitals with skin off them everywhere. Then the government use these incidents and statistics to push legislation against all motorcycles. You never see a bike rider dressed the way scooter riders are. In peak hour traffic they sit on the edge of the road cause most dont have the power to stay with the traffic flow. Cars drivers then start treating all two wheelers like they do scooters. Sorry i hate the f#ckin things !!

No idea what a singlet is, but you could draw a parallel with most cruiser riders around here. Black t-shirts, levis, tennis shoes, designer sunglasses, no helmet.

Sport bike riders on the other hand tend to wear full face helmets with their shorts and flip flops. Guess they want to preserve their senses to feel all that pain.

About the only group you can count on to wear proper gear is older Adventure bike riders. Most of them have bounced off the ground enough to learn their lessons I guess...

All very true it pisses me off Too TomCat I go one step further and just sit and laught at them then ask if they have ever had skin ripped off lately!:rolleyes:

Singlets are basically underwear or a t-shirt with no sleeves at all in fact there is only a 1 inch wide material over shoulders
