Lube the splines...

Decided to do the splines when the new tire goes on. Still not to sure how many to miles to expect out of the avon
I've never been a fan of them, but lots of folks here do love them. I have favorite tires, but they all get about the same mileage. The favs wear more evenly and, of course, to me anyway seem to perform better.
 
For anyone doing this do both ends. I got my grease this morning so I dropped my wheel and new metzeler to my tyre guy. As luck would have it all 4 diff studs came out. The flange looked pretty clean but I could see a few if the splines were shiny and not much grease to be seen.
I decided to look at the other end and there was nothing there. Slightly rusty and some polished splines again.

How long does that spring do exactly what its supposed to?
