Low fuel light way to early

So my low fuel light is coming on way to early. Once the light comes on it only takes 11.5 litres to full. Pretty sure that's not quite right.
I tried searching but can't really navigate well on this phone.
I'm sure I read they can be adjusted somehow but can't track it down again. Can anyone point me in the right direction or provide some info.

Remove tank
Remove fuel pump assy - careful not to damage or bend the float arm
Then it’s just a case of bending the float arm into the right place. I can’t recall which way to bend it,”...
Umm bend it away from the mounting plate - towards the filler cap.
Best to do with an empty tank

THE bot has to be set up for your bike - but we can assist a bit. It counts how many milliseconds the injectors are open so basically knows what you have used rather than what is left. But part of the calibration is telling it how big the tank is and how many ticks/mile the speed sensor puts out. So can tell you accurately how many miles you have left in the tank. It is more accurate than either the light or (if your riding style changes) the trip meter.
