Well it looks like we lost two more dealerships, Daytona beach and Orlando, FL. They are both owned by the same people. Went by the one in Daytona today and the triumph sign is gone and couldn't see any triumphs on the floor when looking through the Windows. They were closed but someone was working on decore and confirmed to me that they were no longer a triumph dealer but didn't know why. I checked the Orlando store website and no mention of triumph on their website. Does anyone in this area know what happened?

In talking with the dealer that used to be a triumph dealer here in norfolk. I think triumph is messing up a bit by taking all the bikes from closed dealers and selling them to auto auctioneers. The dump them cheaper then the actual triumph dealers can buy them for and yet the dealershave to do the warranty work on them. Does not seemquite fair if you ask me. Of course I would love to find a deal on a Trophy, or a 800 Tiger to add to my stable.

Boy that is cutting the throat of there own dealers, their bread and butter. Also I've heard that triumph treats their dealers badly on the warranty work. The dealer that did my engine rebuild under warranty had spent some time measuring searching for the cause of the noise before going ahead with the rebuild and when it was all done triumph just wanted to pay him for just eight hours.

Very sad indeed. The Dealer where I bought my 2013 Roadster, dropped the Triumph brand, and replaced it with KTM. I'm so glad I bought the 2 "upgrade" kits back when they were only $200. Parts will be worth much more than that when/if I need them.

The dealership should have cleared it with Triumph regarding payment or how much before they started the work, it is called common sense business practice.

They approached my bikes problem one step at a time, as triumph authorized the work one step at a time. Triumph sent them the parts for the rebuild so the work had been authorized. I guess he didn't think triumph would screw him that bad.

Nothing wrong with having an update kit or 2 on the shelf just in case.

As this was covered in another thread the bad point of hoarding apart from raising the prices Triumph also stopped selling the kit probably because more kits were sold than was needed which takes me back to the hoarding part and it is not just you I know a monkey supporting WHU guy who has a couple someone else who I will not mention by name who rides a falcon:roll: has at least two score of kits laying around and that is just the tip of the iceberg
