live in fear brian.. live in fear

Mine didn't....but I didn't really keep them for too long, I think I had no more than 15,000 miles on each one before I sold them or traded them in because of me working over here. That's why I need to wait till I am finished over here before buying a new one...so that I can enjoy it longer than I have my last three.

Honda's have been Great!

Flip: You must have gotten some Friday night at quit'n time Honda's. My (formerly owned) 95 Goldwing, my wife's 96 Trike, nor my 01' Valk smoke when started???

With regard to the Toyota Corolla...you couldn't find one in this area that was not ready for the salvage yard. The ones we have here have been bashed on three sides, smoke upon acceleration, have broken windows, are driven by hispanic migrant worker type occupants who insist on driving in the passing lane (left), 10 MPH under the posted speed limit and on a four lane divided highway...:(...Oh yah...they have CA license plates.

Can I send the Corolla's and the occupants back to California? Please Arnold, don't send anymore up north!:D

SB.

....don't get your panties in a bunch over it. I said older, high mileage units.

tarp funds now that's an idea flip :D stayed up till 3 last night checking the "wing" forums.. interestingly enough they have issues also .. seems that for a $45.00 rewiring kit you can prevent replacing the stator , of course not adding 500watts of extra lighting to them that these guys do would help also, which is a remove the motor like the r3. some guys do external alts and run off crankshaft.. why, with the wiring fix i dont have a clue but it does make interesting reading.
as for the smoke just caught a bit about using side stand rather than center stand to prevent this...
all in all it will be nice to have a bike to ride

well it's done 85' with 31 k el minto condition, first miles on the new metlers were mine and it's been completely gone through.. beauty and the beast... love the radio by the way.. auto adjusts for speed and even has a vanity mirror built into the lid of the top bag :D seats as well as forks and shocks are air adjustable from the dash.. life is good in a barco lounger

Nice looking Wing. Just one...keep an eye on item...thing for you to look into. I'm not sure what years, but the 90's series of GW up to around 97 (I think) sometimes had alternator problems. You might, if you haven't already, join up on the www.gl1800riders.com site and look in one of their "sub" forums and ask or look up that particular topic.

One thing about that model, it actually had more storage space than either of my 2003 or 2006 Gold Wings that I had...plus had the onboard air compressor. The stereo is nice but they have greatly improved it from '06 and up (80 watts/per channel X 4 with two way speakers in the front.
