Lifting gas tank on a 2020 GT

Hi nytrox,
thank you for the procedure, but i got still question marks regarding the following steps..

9. Remove the fuel line from the injector fuel rail

12. Near the front of the tank, remove the cover for the fuel pump

13. Disconnect the hose for the evaporative control system

can you provide maybe pictures or so for these steps?

My situation is:

tank is empty
front bolt and strap removed
removing rear bolt makes it not possible to lift the tank at the rear, even not a few mm..

lifting front is possible for only a few cm <5

maybe someone can give me hints with photos :)

Sure that this is the description for the new model?

The service manual sounds a little bit different...

1. take seat away
2. take battery away
3. take flyscreen away
4. take fuse for fuel pump away
5. take the fuel out of the tank
6. re-install the battery, start the motor ans let it run dry
7. take the battery away
8. open the two screws and take the cable-cover of of the fork away
9. unscrew the holder for the Dashboard slightly and move it as far to the front as possible
10. unscrew the front holder of the tank
11. lift the tank 5 - 10 cm and take off the tubes of the Kraftstofftankbelüftungsschlauch
12. unmount the Kraftstoffschlauch
13. now lift the tank in the front to 10 - 15 cm
14. take away the Schlauch des Umsteuerventils from the tank
15. Unplug the electric connector of the fuel pump
16. take the holder of the back and of the tank away

Take the tank away

i will give it a try.. and give some feedback if this worked for me :)

I want to see you translating Kraftstofftankbelüftungsschlauch - even writing this in German without errors is a work of art...

... as I mention it: I just saw that I forgot an "n" in Umsteuerventil... my teachers would kill me... :notworthy:

By the way: when you see how many sensors are integrated in that bike, it can make you really anxious...

nearly every bike nowadays has more electrics than steel ;-)

"Kraftstofftankbelüftungsschlauch" sounds machine translated from english..
fuel tank ventilation hose could be suitable.

"Kraftstoffschlauch" = fuel tube

but "Umsteuerventil" .. can you spot it on the attached screenshot?

Nope - wrong drawing. I need the one with the little fuel steam filter tank.
