Lets see some paint jobs

No you guys I was going to buy all this stuff for me for my shop so he can finish working on my stuff and so I can learn I thought this could be a cheap and fast way to learn.
When I was in Seattle I took some classes to weld but didn't take any more because we moved to Utah and I was going to continue but was just thinking this might be a lot better for me to learn off of this guy .
I took Karate since I was twelve and was in to full contact kick boxing untill 40 I hope I could still look after my self
But if not we can bring in the big guns
$1475 is what I paid him so far he started my tank so the scoop is done the side is all cut out he started shapping the side to match the right side with a little change I wanted.
Then he said it was more work then he thought and wanted a break so he extended my front fender 5 inches, so the stones will not hit my spoiler.
And started to paint but because he rush I think his paint was a little ****ty it looked great from pictures and far away but up close I was disapointed .
But for the fabrication that he did so far might of coast me more some were else.
My tank is no good now that he cut the side up if this would of happen before he cut the tank up I would of just took everything, I could of just got the tank sealed and it looked good just with the scoop on top.
But know since its cut up and he said some how he will get my tank done that he will give me his word that means a lot to me, and I want at least my tank finished.
I'm going to give him two weeks if he has not got any further I will pick up my stuff and then see what I'm going to do.
I just think if I invest on all the tools I need, and he does my stuff I can learn if I could understand and get as good with the metal as I am with the wood I could make the stuff for you guys as my hobby.
Maybe I should just go back to work
We bought a house here in Utah that my wife just fell in love with that was bank owned but there was a floud a pipe burst and mold was all up the dry wall and the carpet had to be all taken out.
So the whole basment was taken apart need to put dry wall all back and paint and put carpet down they wanted 55,000 to do this and I'm doing it all my self once I'm finished I'm going to start to get board.
My house in Seattle I remodled it from top to bottom it started off just the kitchen then my wife kept on saying how about this how about that next thing I know I got walls taken down wires all over the place and I end up doing every single room.
Thought it would sell quick had it for sale for five mounths and only two people has looked at it So when I get this house finished I need to think what I can do to keep busy . I have thought about doing motorcycle seats for a while but need to learn how to work with metal to make seat pans or the seat will be made out of wood and fiberglass

That's it my paint was supposto to be finished today and I went down there and it was not and he said that he needs another $350 to fix his car and I said I,m not going to give him another dime until my paint is finished. He went on saying that I don't trust him and I said its not about trust that I gave him enough money and that the job is not finished today like you said it would be and now there is a story why and there will be another story tomorow.
I said that does it I don't want him to do my stuff that I'm taking it now forget about finishing the paint job I'll take it has is and my other stuff that you started and still have not finished that I gave him more then enough money.
Well I went to take my tuff and it got hugly to make a long story short he backed down he was going to fight me but I told him to really think hard and he back down.
So its cool I prommissed my wife I would not fight and I didn't and got all my stuff
Not sure what I'm going to do now but I tell you if the guy does not have a shop of his own I'm not even going there I have leared my lesson the hard way .
I'm to old for this **** I think I got even more grey hair now.

Sorry to hear it worked out that way for you. At least you got your stuff back, and you didn't let your temper get the best of you. You probably saved a whack load just by not smacking him around......bail, legal fees, and maybe medical expenses..?? you never know.

Hope you get the rest of your stuff fixed up and your bike back together exactly the way you want it. I'm sure there are guys on this site that can recommend someone to you.

kajoh, Thanks I've been there a few times in my younger age not fun.
This guy just thought I was his win fall when ever he needed fast money I was going to give it to him and keep on saying he's going to finish my stuff, I think by this time next year my stuff would have still not been done I think he thought because I had money invested I wasn't going to walk. Just two days ago he phoned me up and said he split his fingure wide open that he has not insurance that he's affraid of his figgure getting infected, that if I could give him another $350 towards my stuff and I said no so he aske for another $150 so he can go get it looked after and I did his finger was really bad.
And my paint job was still not touched and he wanted another $350 I guess I just figgured out that this is how is going to be with him and even further in the hole with this guy.
Glad I walked away he keeps on texting me and telling me what a jerk I am my wife told me not to email him back see how long it takes for him to go away.
He says he's going to sue me
