Let's discuss tire wear

Hey Binnsy, that would have been 'fun' in the wet you've been having. I must be more conservative when it comes to wringing it's neck. The tyre that is.

Got 4,800kms (3,000 miles) out of my last rear Metz but I could still see where the tread was meant to be (just) - until the final ride to get it replaced, that is. Hoping for better from the Cobra.
Maybe will get 9,000km (5,600 miles) from front Cobra but 8 (5) more likely.

Yeah, didn't want to cough up the $395.00 for the new rear! Got a bit snakey on the last ride so thought it time to replace ...

I was gonna give the Avon's a go but by Brother in law has them and he is not happy with the wear, seems to be shedding very quickly. Mind you he rides like a nutter

No, I'm actually talking about the tires on my Tiger. The Bird has Metz Marathons. They have around 7K and are good to go.

I don't flog any of my bikes, never have. I had 5500 miles on the Bridgestones on my R3T at the time of the recall. They looked great and I would've easily been able to get at least 10-12K on them. They also didn't show any signs of the torque induced separation. I will say, however, that the replacement tires (Metz Marathons), felt a lot better.

The 1600 Tbird with a good map using TBoy showed around 77RWHP and 100 torque. Those tires ought to get around 200,000 miles on them.lol

HAHAHAHA ... ! KA-POW!
I don't remember EVER having to replace the tires on that old Honda 100cc street bike either. LOL
