Least Aerodynamic Vehicle Observation

After many years of riding, various cross country or multi-state trips, 70 mile round trips to work, and occaisional ventures into the Texas Hill Country, I have come to the conclusion that Chevrolet full size trucks / suvs (Suburban, Tahoe, etc) are the least aerodynamic vehicles on the highway.

This is only based on my own observation, of course. I can be riding along, noticing vehicles, but just checking out the scenery, when all the sudden I notice my head being tossed around and even the bike at times by excessive wind buffeting. When I look to see the cause, the worst cases are always a 1988 - Current Chevrolet full size truck that I find myself behind! I do not notice buffeting to the same extreme behind Fords, Dodges, or any other vehicle.

Has anyone else noticed this?.. lol

lol.. Actually, I generally notice the Chevrolets before I am too close and everytime I notice, it's always a Chevrolet.. I've actually been observing this for years, just thought I would throw it out there...

When are we gonna have some kind of Texas get together?? I'm tired of riding back and forth to work!.. .lol

I think your whole problem is you should be riding in front of them. Simple ... if you pass everyone up like I do you never get the buffering from them.

Actually 'Shine... I'm impressed. I've finally run across a woman that can actually solve a problem instead of just b....'in about it.

Tex.... you must not have many tractor trailers/dump trucks riding about TX.

Dump trucks, tractor trailers, feed trucks... etc. will beat you to death when they're coming the opposite direction.

Actually we do have lots of those here in TX. I tend to move to the outside part of my lane when I meet them because of that.
