So, I was practicing for my california motorcycle drive test, doing circle after circle, trying to stay in the lines and after about half hour my arms started to tire out. All of a sudden, I lose balance and the bike goes over! Are you kidding me! I just dropped my less than a year old rocket on the ground! Son of a b tch!
Well i picked her up and assessed the damage, and it really wasn't all that bad. A little scratching on the radiator cover and the exhaust pipe. The mirror took the brunt of it, it got pretty banged up, all in all I was lucky. Man it sure makes me sick just thinking about it though. Whoever thought up that drive test, is a flipping idiot!

Is the circle diameter like 20 feet or what?
I found out!
Looks to be a difficult but good challenge.

I'm glad that you didn't hurt it too much. Do the MSF course and you will find it easy to do the course on their bike - then you will have passed the test. If I ever have to do the test again then I would do it on my Curry Burner.

As a MSF Instructor(just finished a class today) I can tell you the Rocket or any big bike does not do well on these courses now can you do it on the rocket yes but it takes practice, the CA test and the MSF test are designed for small bikes we use 250cc bikes borrow a small bike pass your test then practice on the Rocket as we all know any one can ride fast in a straight line.

I don't think CA associates with MSF anymore!

That there is golden!

That's way it is here in Virginia. In fact, there are very few examiners qualified to offer the MC test, and so it's similar to getting a passport at the post office -- have to research ahead to see where it's offered, and even then, they schedule out far enough to be ridiculous, virtually forcing everyone to take the MSC - a good thing probably. We had both our girls do it -- before we'd let them drive a car.

Yes, the Rocket is insidious . . . the allowable tip angle is smaller thanks to the mass, and the approach to that tipping limit is subtle and easily missed if one gets distracted while slow or stopped.

Been down - done that. Feel for you.

Impressed you could pick it up. Took three of us when I did it.

Agree -- smaller bike -- many miles and much practice.
