Late model vs early model oil tank

I have a 2009 rocket that according to the triumph website is fitted with the later model oil tank.
I understand that it is different from the early oil tank in the outlet area, but not sure exactly in what way.
Anyone have any more info?

The 2004-2006 Rockets oil tank were made with good old Sheffield steel the 07-to present ones were made with recycled materials, I hope this clears it up for you.
