kilometres reading

do I need tunecu to change..i am guessing I do...will have to purchase cable

No.
Tis merely done with the speedo button.
Read your owner's manual.
BTW - @idk has all the Rocket dope on his siggy page.

If you cannot figure it out, let me know and I shall go spend a little time to remember how I did it (twas years ago) and lay it out for you.

Wow that's got to be the highest reading kms on a Rocket.

That's to the moon and back and half way back to the moon again !

tried holding button in don't have black button only the silver that switches to trip metre...removed cover no add buttons...
held trip button no change..removed battery again still same....:banghead:

If it were the trip meter reading 20k, when you removed the battery it would have gone to the odometer when the battery was reconnected. Just a thought.

For some reason, when I connected TuneECU, updated the map and then disconnected, the odometer reset to 0km. Tried looking for a way to enter the original mileage back in but couldn't find it. Now I have an almost new 2006 Classic, with less than 10 000km.

The same thing occurs to me with my first 2005 Rocket : during a ride my odo goes from 48 000 Km and some
to 874 000 km and some and I never succeed to correct that . I was obliged to change odo !
