Triumph 2008 Bonneville T100 Motorcycles

Yup! A brand-new Bonneville T-100 in Forest Green and New England White.

I managed to convince the significant other to get one, too. We looked around the 'net for other bikes along the same lines (600-900cc, basic, light, and reasonably powerful), but only the Triumph and the Moto Guzzi Nevada Classic stood out as unique bikes. Both are numerically close, with the Guzzi weighing a little less, with less horsepower and torque, but the Bonnie won in the end due to style and appearance; just an all-around classy-looking bike.

'Course, the fact that I own another Triumph may have held some sway... :p

Jap bikes couldn't even come close to comparing. They're all either V-twins (Hardley-Ableson style), overweight/underpowered, expensive, or all three. WAY too many cookie-cutters in the Big Four Japanese companies! BMW is just way too expensive, period. And he's (interpret that as you may) looking for a comfortable touring bike, so that eliminated MV Agusta (which he can't afford, anyway), Ducati, and Aprilia, as well as all the other performance/race-style bikes out there.

Next step is to locate a nice set of mufflers (the twins just sound right with some rumble), saddlebags, and maybe a windscreen. Suggestions?
