over 5 weeks off the road with an electrical fault. It was the main power lead from the battery, the wire had broken inside the plastic sheathe covering the spade connector where it connects to whatever?.
Mechanic said that could have been why it let me down the first time about 3 months ago. With the wire broken it could have been causing a spike which played havoc with the engine management system and thats why it shut down.
Dont know if thats right but a couple of people have suggested that it could put itself on 'safe' mode with just enough power to get you home when that happens.
