I purchased the correct cable forever ago and always chickened out on changing the tables. Bike goes out of warranty in less than a month so I'm ready to play...

Everything I read was to open the secondary's up to 100% and copy the ignition table (I3) to I1 and I2 to completely unrestrict the beast. I'm stock on everything - just wanting to open it up.

However, I then ran across the warning from Tripp here: http://www.r3owners.net/threads/how-to-copy-paste-ignition-tables.16152/page-2#post-208091

So is it really just as simple as copying the Ignition tables from 5th gear down to the lower tables? If you have a stock map that's unrestricted (the ones I've downloaded from Tuneecu all have slightly different Ignition tables) or some screen captures. Been up for hours getting this sorted for tomorrow after work.

You are not a chicken .you are a braver man than I Gunga Din,I could dismantle a Amal Carby in pouring rain in near darkness on the side of the road and get it to work no problems ,bleed the injectors on my 6V71 Detroit diesel (Jimmy) 2 stroke at midnight half way up the Moonbi ranges ,but after being almost shocked to death with a simple VN Commodore coil pack in the comfort of my Garage, I leave electronics ignitions ect to the experts
but I like to read and learn from others on the Forum.

Kevin,
What year/model are you riding? I'm sure there's a few unrestricted tune numbers for stock bikes listed in the threads on here, but don't know which ones to point you to?
Either way, when you hook up, save your stock map. Then no matter how much you play with it, you can always put the original back in.
If the only thing you want is to remove secondary restrictions, you can take the flys off relatively easily and not even change tunes, assuming you're staying stock with everything else and don't want to de-restrict speed limits?

Be sure you "copy" your original tune first. In case things go bad.

Thanks guys - 2012 Roadster. I'm planning to bump my idle to 950, lower my fan temp to around 100, remove speed limit, open the secondary flies, and the most important to me at this time - remove the restrictions on 1-3 gears.
