Well now, I must speak up.
I have had several cases where a Geico client was injured and their car totaled by a totally at-fault driver.
The at-fault driver had no insurance, so Geico sued their own client trying to prove they were partially at fault in order to reduce the amount they had to pay under UIM (under insured motorist).
In my 49 years of doing crashes there have been a few other insurance companies that have done this - but not too many thankfully!
I've been using Markel for motorcycle insurance for years. Their rates are the best I could find. I don't know how good they are about paying out on claims - hopefully I won't have to find out.
When I added the R3, it was only about $20 more a year than my Suzuki VL1500LC.
Costs me $NZ565.00 a year for my insurance....another 500 and something for vehicle registration for the year and our fuel is up around $NZ2.20 a litre. not expensive if you say it fast!!
you guys are killing me, reading through and hit this gem, proceeded to start laughing hard enough coffee was coming out my nose, i'm not even going to tell you how much that sucks, but it was worth it
I posted a few weeks ago about what i thought was an excessive annual premium with progressive ($520). Since then i met an allstate agent at a moto dealership during a ride event. long story short, i now have better coverage for for the rocket at $265/yr and he also saved me substantial money on my rental property, umbrella policy, and cars.
with all the different stories posted on this thread, it makes you wonder where they come up with pricing......
Called my insurance company(geico) to add my new/old Triumph Adventurer to my policy, the bas***ds raised my policy by$15.00 a year now I am paying $169 a year the pain oh the pain.
