Insurance costs

You see a lot of people mention the insurance premium for 1000cc+ sport bikes in forums and groups. Does that seem to be something that comes into play with the rocket?. I seen someone mention having a hard time finding a premium under 5k for a hyabusa which is about the same price as a second gen rocket 3.

i'm based in the UK.
I haven't found the Rocket that expensive to insure, in relative terms.
Not cheap, but certainly not the most expensive.

For me it’s not much different than my Indian scout though I’m sure it’s slightly higher due to it being newer and a higher msrp. I’m an old fart though so I have a long, and relatively good, driving record.

I looked up my 3 bikes, the Rocket cost the least to insure and the 21 Indian Challenger the highest. The 25 Tiger Sport800 in the middle.

I wonder if being younger would make a difference. It does seem the rocket has a bit older demographic compared to normal sports bikes. I was thinking, crash statistics probably plays a role in how much insurance companies charge for certain bikes.

I seen a quote for an 18-year-old for an R1. It was £12000
