Installed sidewinder and ram air and hans0 +10 tune... Need input

A wise man once told me that when you load a new tune your also loading the adaptations of that tune so resetting the adaptations is self defeating.

****, everything I had read said a bunch on different things... Makes me wonder if I should swap the factory pipes back one and ride it for a bit and then switch back to the carpenters? I don't know what the fix from here would be? Will it eventually figure itself out? You all have a suggestion on what I should do now? I'm not above anything, I just want it to run better than it seems to be running is it I know that since there isn't an O2 sensor adjusting it's pretty limited on what it can actually "learn"...

So are you saying I should be able to reload the map and it will have those adaptations already logged?

Thats the idea. Obviously some will change but you want them to start as close to what the tune your importing has them set to. I'm come to believe that riding the bike is the best way to set adaptations after loading a new tune.

Alright, I guess then that's where I'm going to start, I appreciate your help. I'm gonna wait for the roads to dry up a bit today and then I will take it for a rip after I reflash this thing. Worst case I guess I will be swapping back to the factory system until I can get a baffle and a trip to a tuner set up. As I said earlier my idea was to get a close enough tune that I can safely ride it 2.5 hours to bend oregon, they have a tuner there that's familiar with tune ecu, there is a Harley guy that owns a shop closer but he has never used tune ecu he did tell me to call him and he would be willing to give it a shot but I'm not sure how that would fair.
 
I took it on a 10 mile ride just normal and something is really not right with it... Lots of loud decel popping, rolling on to throttle is not smooth at all , doesn't seem as though it pulls like when it was stock, first cold start the idle jumps from 900 up to 1300 or 1400, at a stop the idle hunts from 600 up too 850 or 900... I can say it honestly feels like crap to ride... Not at all what I was expecting to need to take this off and figure out how to get it tuned and running correct because this is pretty off putting. I hear videos of other guys roadster and they idle smooth and rev smooth no crazy popping/backfires not sure what else to do... Maybe a flash back to stock and pick up a woolich tuner? I dunno i just know riding it like this is not gonna be good for the bike, it seems to be running lean with everything it's doing?
 
Please tell us who the tuner in Bend is. Details please. We need a Northwest tuner since the guy at 2WDW isn't taking ride in tunes anymore.

I have no personal experience other than exchanged emails and them confirming the could tune it on a dyno and they are familiar with the tune ecu software but he did confirm it wouldn't be an issue, I also spoke too Erik carpenter today and he said he would try to find a map that he could convert for me, I said if not it's no big deal. He informed me that they use woolich tuners for a lot of there bikes and that as long as it's a 2014 and up rocket woolich is compatible, so I have a couple potential routes I could go at this point. I actually switched my exhaust back to factory since the next week is going to be nice, I'm going to put the carpenter on hold until I can get the funds up for either a tune or maybe look into the woolich tuner like Erik mentioned. I think I got a bit ahead of myself in hopes this would have been a simple swap and new flash to get me by... After going back to factory the bike runs like a champ again kind of bummed but it is what it is I guess instant gratification wasn't in the cards for me this month.
 
I'm running the Sidewinder exhaust and Ram Air setup too. I installed a Power Commander and used the canned tune they had for my exact setup. I downloaded it and honestly haven't looked back—it's been about three years now.

I always meant to get it dyno tuned, but I just never got around to it. The bike pulls like crazy as it is, so I haven't felt much need. I went with the Power Commander because nobody in my area was willing to dyno tune a TuneECU setup.
