Informal Insurance Poll

Dairyland insurance co. in Delaware is $550.00 for 12 months full coverage.
Single vehicle on the policy since I have USAA for everything else.
One ding on my driving record, 45 years old, married home owner.
It's about what I expected for the east coast and highest CC rating.

"The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys"

It was 365. per year with my one black Rocket on it, full coverage.
It's now 350 per year since I added the wifes Rocket to it.
Multivehicle discount they said.
Ok, another benefit to having two Rockets in the same family.

You guys are killin' me. I've got to get out of this state... New Zealand suddenly looks very appealing.

I gotta move!!

I can't believe how bad we are getting screwed here in good ol Canadeh...
I don't have rocket yet, but have called to get quotes....and even with being an experienced rider and having a bike before I am getting quotes for......are you ready???

$2800.00 for the year!!!

and the low of 1450.00 for 6 months, but with reduced coverage for remainder of year!!!!!

So if I did have a nice day pop up and wanted to ride within those other 6 months I would not be covered. Our insurance system here is completely out of control. They can cancel and raise your insurance for no reason whatsoever. Just another example, I had some rental properties, rates where approx $280 yr, not too bad. Out of the blue, with not even a phone call...my next invoice comes in -- $1300 per house!!! BASTARDS!

And I have been with these guys for close to 30 years, since I got my license at 16.

No Morals....get my Sicilian blood boiling. Like my Pop says, "gotta drag em out their offices, nothing that a little lead therapy couldn't cure. Just a bit behink the ear"(Said with a heavy wop accent);)

Anyway, I know you guys think that your paying alot, but it could always be worse..:)

WOW! And here I thought I was getting ass-raped! Just tell all those insurance bureaucrats the following, "Andente tutti a 'fanculo!" (to go perform an unnatural sexual act upon themselves)

I had an unexpected and unwarranted home owners deductible increase from USAA this year. I had a $500 deductible for 10 years on everything and never had a claim, they sent a letter stating that because of my area, (Delaware) my wind and hail damage deductible was increased to just under $7000 !!!!! WTF? Our insurance companies can do whatever they want, whenever they want just like yours in Canada. USAA is even military non-profit insurance, (don't cover motorcycles) I asked if an increased premium would lower the deductible and the answer was NO.
So now if a huricane blows my roof off, I have to **** 7 grand on the spot. Seems like the only thing I'm covered for now, is if the house BURNS down.
