Yeah but @ponters is a rat and can't be trusted. Just kidding. One of the best blokes on here. @Roy Casey , just don't let him talk you into completely changing out every single component on your bike. That's actually not quite correct; at last count there were still 5 or 6 original parts on his bike. ;)

Hello Roy and welcome from Virginia. I understand those family concerns. I smashed up bike #26 (Vmax) in the mountains of Colorado. Two years later I hit a deer on bike #27 (FZ1, my rehab bike). I took two years off while I pulled myself together and told the family I was looking for another bike. My boys who ride told me I needed to give up on the hotrods like the last two and get a cruiser; more suited for my age they said. So I did, got the R3T. Life is good brother, it's better on two wheels!
